● As a member team of the growing Faith40 organization in Rutherford County, we exist to serve others in our community. We will serve meals at Journey Home, work with Greenhouse Ministries to provide services for families in trouble, tutor children in the community, and any other projects that come our way. We are a faith-based organization, but we welcome anyone, middle school or high school, who would like to help us make Rutherford County a better place for all people.
Want to know more? Go to the FAITH40 WEBSITE. In April, 15 Faith40 teams with over 100 volunteers gathered together and completed a food packing service project. Mayor Earnest Burgess got the day started by thanking Faith40 and all of our volunteers for leading the community through serving others. Some scooped rice—some scooped pasta—some scooped freeze dried vegetables—some scooped soy meal—some scooped vitamins—some poured—some weighed the food—some bagged—some sealed—some boxed—some taped—some carried—some stacked—and some loaded. We all came from different places—different teams—different businesses—different schools—different churches. But we were together—working together—for something larger than our individual lives—for something larger than ourselves. 40,000 meals packed—destined for remote mountain villages in Honduras—school children in Africa—and homeless folks in America. We are ALL connected—to each other—by His grace. It was a good day.

FAITH 40 ACTIVITIES

Faith40 volunteers recently held an Easter Egg Hunt and Cookout in the Franklin Heights complex. It was a beautiful day, as volunteers hid hundreds of eggs and then helped app. 75 children find them. After the egg hunt, we cooked out, played basketball, football, painted fingernails, played on the playground, and just hung out. We really enjoy spending time with our friends at Franklin Heights, and feel blessed to have the opportunity to visit with them on a regular basis.
Special Kids is an organization that works with children who have various handicaps. In March, Faith40 volunteers from MTCS and Central Magnet joined forces and set up a cheering section for the Special Kids annual race, its largest fundraiser. It was really encouraging to see our volunteers get up early on a Saturday morning and cheer 3 hours for people they did not even know. Many of the runners who came by inspired us through their sheer determination to finish the race. We ARE Helping People Help People.
